Week two of the Smashwords July Sales Event is over and my free ebook giveaway stats are coming up.
Week two stats: Never Trust the Moon has taken over as number one, with Country Tried Chicken taking second place. Blue Moor has tied with Aside of Murder and The Bamboo Killer for third place.
For the month in total, Country Tried Chicken is still number one, with Never Trust the Moon a close second, and Blue Moor is a close third. Looks like people still like gay fiction over a harsh reality these days. The cookbooks moved up a bit in downloads, so maybe people are wanting healthier recipes.
Overall, downloads during the July Free Event are down to a trickle and I’m considering stopping the free downloading altogether. I’ve asked all social media to share my posts/tweets and timeline about all my books free for July but not one person shared. I know my posts are getting seen and my followers are real (not bots), so the only thing I can think of is no one cares. This is the reason I’m writing much anymore these days, along with all the health issues i’m fighting.
I just hate spinning my wheels for fruitless efforts.
